Somme Cemeteries
Martin Middlebrook’s Somme Battlefields records that there are 243 cemeteries on the Somme battlefield, of which 135 cover the 1915-16 period. This part of the website lists the major ones with details and photographs and mentions some of the characters buried in them; Somme men who found their graves in Picardy.
